JKAA National Seminar & Championships
- Melbourne 2008 - A Great Success!
JKA Victoria hosted the 27th National Seminar and Championships of the Japan Karate Association of Australia from Monday 24th to Saturday 29th March at the Dandenong Basketball Stadium. Instructors assisting Takahashi Shihan were : Yano Sensei 8th Dan JKA, Okajima Sensei 7th Dan JKA, Nishimura Sensei 7th Dan JKA, Matsui Sensei 7th Dan JKA, Kobayashi Sensei 6th Dan JKA and Chikanishi Sensei 4th Dan JKA. Latest: JKAA and JKANZ senior members attended the JKA Sohonbu Autumn International Instructors Gasshuku 5th - 7th October 2007 The course was led by Shuzeki Shihan Motokuni Sugiura Chief Instructor of the Japan Karate Association and attended by the entire JKA Shihankai including Takahashi Shihan Chief Instructor of JKA Australia and JKA New Zealand. Congratulations to students from JKA Bendigo, MGGS, East Malvern, Noble Park, Healesville, Kew and MSAC dojos who passed their grading exams on Saturday 15th December 2007. Our site represents all JKA Dojos in the Melbourne Metropolitan area and the rest of the state of Victoria, which combine to make JKA Victoria the state member of the governing body for this country, the Japan Karate Association of Australia.
